Description
The Pearl City Bike Path is a paved "two-lane" bike path that runs through Pearl City and onto Pearl Harbor. The Mid-Pacific Road Runner's Club hosts a 10K on this path every January.

Distance
Variable. Suggested route is approximately 8 miles.

Environment
Flat, paved bike path with no vehicular traffic. Water and restrooms available at Neal S. Blaisdell Park, and at Lehua Elementary School. An additional drinking fountain is available on Pearl Harbor, just past the Marina Restaurant.

To Get There From Honolulu
Take H1 West to the Pearl City/Waimalu exit (#10). Turn left at the bottom of the exit ramp onto Moanalua Road and proceed 1 block. Turn right at first intersection down Kaahumanu Street. At the bottom of the hill proceed straight through the intersection into Neal S. Blaisdell Park. The bike path is along the water at the far end of the park.

Suggested Route
From the park, proceed in the Diamond head (east) direction. After about 2 miles you will enter the CINCPAC Fleet Boat House parking area. Proceed past the white anchor, through the parking lot, and rejoin the bike path in the upper left corner of the driveway. Follow the path for approximately 100 yards to its end. Proceed another 0.25 mile along the road to the "jogger's" water fountain just past the Marina Restaurant parking lot. Have a drink and return in the direction of the park. Proceed past the park to Lehua Elementary School (1.1 miles). Turn around and run back to the park. This round trip is approximately 8 miles.

Notes
The path is often crowded with pedestrian and bicycle traffic. Watch for traffic when crossing roads. Use caution when running on the path after dark. Because the path passes through some remote industrial areas, it is recommended that you not run alone after dark. The CINCPAC Fleet Boat House gates are locked at night. They are open during the following hours:
